Compact five plate water ionizer machine

The Alkazone BHL4200 is the upgraded version of Alkazone’s entry level ionizer, the BHL-3100. Both machines are five plate ionizers, but the BHL4200 has dual filters vs. the BHL3100’s single filter, and it has more power. Both machines have the Alkazone advantage of being compact in size, but both machines also share some of the same limitations: Filter life is short, you get 4 months out of the first filter, and six months out of the second filter. The warranty is short, only two years parts and labor, and you only get a seven day return period.

The filters in this machine reduce chlorine, filter some metals, and filter sediments only. If you have poor water quality, you should look at machines with better filtration. This machine may need to add minerals if your water is too soft, to do that you have to buy a mineral injection filter.

Water Ionizer Machine Long Term Test Results

The BHL4200 is definitely better than the BHL3100. It gives higher antioxidant ORP levels, and has better filtration. But like the BHL3100, it needs to clean itself often, plus pH levels and antioxidant ORP levels will decline some between filter changes. It’s easy to use and has a large easy to read display, but you will wait when filling large containers because this machine has a low flow rate.
